new update

I got back from my parents' house with my wii. They don't have internet so I couldn't get online. I hooked my wii back up & put in Mario Party 8. I went in to load it up & it stopped to give me an update. I didn't see anything different. Does anyone know what the update was for?

I didnt know they were a new update.Ill check mine out and see if it offers me a update.

It's probably the new update nintendo is integrating into games for people who do not go online. I hear it's a way for people the get the updates and I saw some things about chipped wii's possibly being affected by this.

Had you ever played MP8 before? Even when you are up to date some games "update" your system anyways. In reality they are writing to the Wii that the update routine doesn't need to run any more. MP8 has the 2.1U update built in if I remember correctly. If you updated online since April 11 you should already have 2.2u

That was the first time playing MP8. The only times I'm not online is when I go to my parents. I think you guys are right. It didn't do it until I clicked to play the game.
