The maker of Steet Figher II Turbo HD Remix preps an original Wii monster brawler. First info, screens and video.

January 29, 2008 - Development studio Backbone may be best known today for its upcoming Xbox Live Arcade recreation of Capcom's famous fighting franchise: Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. However, that's not all the company is working on. In addition to making software for Xbox Live Arcade and even the iPod, Backbone also has an original title in the works for Wii. It's called Monster Lab and we recently caught up with producer Kelly Tainton to learn all about it. We've also included first screenshots and videos in our media section below.

I've known about this for some time. I think it was "officially" announced in October or so. Can't quite remember. But it doesn't matter, I'm actually pretty excited for the game.

"Tim Burton meets Pokemon" is a pretty good reason to buy imo.

EDIT: Just clicked on the screens. They're obviously new. This game actually looks quite promising.

the videos on ign shows that it has good graphics and good gameplay but cant say until its out.

I remember hearing about this game a while back, little grumblings and what not a few months ago. Now the game is sounding pretty darn good, and looks alright as well. I just may have to buy this one.

The ign interview with the devloper states there will be 12 hours of gameplay.
