Newb with gun ?'s

I just bought a wii and this is my first post so please take it easy on me. I had the we zapper with deer drive, but didn't like the size of the zapper. It just seemed so small and fake. I really want call of duty modern warfare or black ops. also looking at buying dangerous hunts 11 which comes with a gun. My questions is will any of the wii 3rd party guns work with any game? Is their one gun in particular that is worth buying over another. Thanks a lot
