I'm thinking about getting a Wii and the VC is one of the big reasons why. I really want another shot at all my old favorites like SMB 3, Legend of Zelda, SMW etc. But I was wondering how exactly the VC works. Can you save games when playing it in the VC?

roughly how many games can you save with standard memory on your wii? i know it depends on the size of the game/app and how much info you have saved for other games, just a rough estimate. and once you download them you can move them to an sd card? is an sd card how you upadate memory for a wii console?
