Nintendo Unveils Early 2010 Release Schedule and New Controller Colors-1.052009-12-14 11:55:53Maura SNintendo has today unveiled its North American release schedule for early 2010 (see complete list below), as well as announcing two new Wii Remote™ colors – pink and blue – which will be available from 14th February, and will be bundled with a Wii MotionPlus™ accessory.

“During the holidays, tens of millions of Americans are going to spend enjoyable hours with both Wii and Nintendo DS,” said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “And the enjoyment will only grow in the early weeks of 2010, whether your taste in gaming comes from exploring ocean depths, catching, training and battling Pokémon or even designing your own micro-games.”

Among some of the highlights coming in early 2010 for the Wii are the underwater exploration adventure game Endless Ocean™: Blue World, and the Wii-exclusive Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom™: Ultimate All-Stars, the spectacular fighting game featuring online global gameplay. Personally I’m looking forward to Activision’s How to Train Your Dragon as my pet dragon has really been acting out lately, March can’t come soon enough in our house.

One of the most interesting forthcoming WiiWare releases just has to be WarioWare D.I.Y™, in which users can design their own micro-games and share them with other WarioWare D.I.Y owners via broadband and Nintendo Wi-Fi. So, all very exciting then, and you’ll already have seen coverage of a lot of these titles on this very website, but before you reserve your place in the queue outside your local games emporium for Chicken Riot release day, note that Nintendo is warning that, as ever, “game titles and launch dates are subject to change.”
