I agree with it, but I still can't decide wether to buy a 360 or a pS3 as my second console...
^ Zarogan covers my thoughts quite well.
I dont think anyone wouldnt buy something because they thought they wouldnt be called hardcore
Tis a bit stupid when you think about it
I Gotta Wii60.
My Cousin Has A PSWii60. THough... Lucky bastard...
I would love to get a PS3 but I don't have the money : /
I'm really waiting on FFXII and the next SE mmorpg on it : )
I'll prolly get it when SE's mmorpg comes out. But for now I won't be that "diverse" of a gamer heheh.. I mean I only have one game for the Wii >.>;;
I'm going to try and get the 360 next, now that I have a job! But that's only because of Halo 3, Bioshock, and Mass Effect. The PS3, I'll wait till all the great games come out.
If you already have a wii for gaming, then get a ps3 for the blu-ray. The ps3 will soon have almost every game the 360 has and it has the winner of the movie format wars BLU-RAY!
i wave just a wii but me and my bro are gonna work on a pswii
Ah yes I read that in the News Channel today. It's really interesting how these formats compete. Either way it won't effect most of us average consumer I think. I mean our house just barely moved on to dvd x3 so in a sense I can see why big N didn't include HDTV support (I still think they should have).
I am working on getting a 360 myself. My friend has a Ps3 which I often play, but I think I will only stick with two consoles this generation. That could change though.
I thought that was a nicely written article. I'll probably get a PS3 sometime in the future, after a couple more price drops perhaps.
I have a wii and will be getting a Ps3 next week.
The PS3 graphics and capabilities are insane. To compare a Wii to it is just a complete waste of time. I have em both and THERE IS NO COMPARISON.
Yes my Wii was fun and it was great playing the Wii Sports
Yes it was something I have never seen before, controller-wise
Yes I and my wife loved the bowling as well as the rest of Wii Sports.
Yes my wife beat me in Wii Boxing her first shot out of the box :mad5:
Yes I looked forward to games like Disaster and Manhunt2
Yes I was dissapointed when Manhunt2 was filtered and Disaster was ?
Yes I bought Brunswick and AMF bowling and was totally disappointed
Yes I bought Ghost Squad, and its still wrapped in the cellophane.
Yes I hoped for a wider array of games like GTA or COD4 maybe?
Yes I bought MOH2 and liked the online though it could have been better.
Yes I got bored with it and bought a PS3
Yes I LOVE COD4, and realize it is what MOH2 should have been more like.
This is NOT a Wii bash post!!! Its more of a you cant compare post. I also spent TWICE the money on my PS3 basic system (80 GIG) then my Wii basic system, so thats NO comparison. Just dollar for dollar I play the PS3 every day and blow the dust off the Wii when I get around to it now that I have the PS3.
The Wii was good for Wii Sports, period. They should have expanded on it and made it online.
RE4 was ok and MOH2 was fun for a while but annoying. The respawn points in MOH2 were predictable and destroyed someone with considerable talent in the game. The lack of a communication system also adds waste of the system that it could be.
Nice article, PSWii60!
Man if Too Human was on PS3 I'd totally get a PS3, thats really the only reason I'd want a 360.
Wii60 rules, I love having both and do hardcore and casual gaming on both consoles. Just because the Wii is flooded with causual/party games doesn't mean you can't stay up for 3+ hours playing Metroid Prime or Mario galaxy.
I have the same dilema. I want a 360 but because of the overheating problems, i do not trust it, I would like to trust it but I can't, so I think I might go to a PS3 instead, for reliability.
I have a co-worker that his family room floded (some inches of water) by a broken hose during night. The PS3 was left on and got water while on (imagine that). The console was turned off to avoid a possible electrical shock and everybody thought that the PS3 has died. The unit was opened and dried. And turned on again. The system started to overheat but the PS3 shut it down to protect itself (nice thing) and displayed a message on screen that it was overheating. The water affected the thermal glue that snapped from the cpu. New thermal solution was placed and the heatsink was put once again. There is a big fan inside the unit to keep it cooler. Now it is working perfectly. That is it reliability
Providing I had space, probably PSWii.
I'm still waiting for the 360 to do a price drop that counts the hard drive. $200 for a 360 with the hard drive and MGS4 online is a good deal to me. If Sony can offer the PS3 for $200 with backwards compatibility, and MGS4 Online, I'm there. So realistically I'm in for a wait. I also wonder who will be the first?
