The International Business Times reports that Capcom has said that it will not be porting versions of some of its popular titles to the Wii U, meaning that Wii U owners will miss seeing the likes of Resident Evil 6, Street Fighter IV, and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 on the new console. The revelation came as part of an answer to a question on Capcom’s official forum, with Capcom USA’s senior vice president Christian Svensson saying the following:

“With regard to Wii U, in general we’re looking forward, not back so late ports are generally not on the table.”
As the International Business Times notes, this is actually quite a surprising stance on Capcom’s part, as some of its major rival publishers, such as Electronic Arts and Warner Bros. Interactive, have Wii U ports of some of their most popular games, such as Mass Effect 3 and Batman: Arkham City. Still, don’t be too disheartened, there’s still Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate to look forward too on Wii U from Capcom!
