no signal

Hello, we were playing our wii yesterday and having a great time when all the sudden the controller stopped working......like it wasn't getting any signal....well we changed the batteries and still nothing...everything was plugged in like it should be....we were getting start up menue but the controllers just stopped working................can someone email me at
