i have red steel and like playing multi-player split screen with my friends but i was wondering what other split screen shooter was available for the wii.

i heard moh vanguard and metroid prime 2 from the metroid prime trilogy both have a split screen multi-player. Does anyone know of any other games are available or any upcoming shooting games that they suspect might have split screen?

Deer drive is so much fun. It's not split screen but it has 2 player. Watch this whole thing.

There will never be an actual Goldeneye game for the Wii because the N64 version is owned by Rare (Microsoft), unless it was a remake like Goldeneye: Rogue Agent was on the Gamecube. There is another 007 game in the works though (rumored to be called James Bond: Bloodstone), although it's supposed to be more 'racing and driving focused'. Hopefully it'll be better than QOS was though as its not tied to a move release.

On the topic of offline multiplayer shooters, well the only ones with splitscreen at the moment other than Red Steel are 007 Quantum of Solace (4 player), Metroid Prime Trilogy (2 player) and the WiiWare title Water Warfare (2 player). Metroid Prime Trilogy is a great collection but the multiplayer is fairly limited, although the controls are great. Water Warfare actually got better review ratings than QOS and is only 800 Wii points but you should be able to find QOS quite cheap too (under $15). They are worth a look if you're desperate.

As for other FPS with multiplayer, Call Of Duty World at War and Modern Warfare Reflex both have a co-op 'squadmate' feature. Basically one player controls as normal and the other has a crosshair that they can aim and shoot with. Both are good games, but out of the two Modern Warfare Reflex is superior.

The other option is to wait for the Conduit 2 or The Grinder which are supposed to have proper multiplayer modes.
