Does this mean there's hope for an eventual port of it's sequel (Seiken Densetsu 3) for the Virtual Console? You cannot ignore the underground fan-support for this game. C'mon, if Tales of Phantasia can get an official english release on the DS, surely something could be done for SD3.

Even if they just did a DS port of SD3 and not a VC port

all things are possible but i think they would release it on the DS because they can make more money that way w/ the HUGE fanbase.

Great game though has to be my top RPG.

The answer is yes and no. Square makes more money porting games to the DS. They will consider the DS before ever making a VC release. I know it's lame as hell, but they did this with Final Fantasy, and Chrono Trigger. They aren't stopping now.
