Hi, I've moved from Sweden to US and now I'm trying to hook up my wii here. Started and got the picture B/W with the regualr AV-cable, after I had changed it to 480i 60Hz. With 576i 50Hz the picture is off course scrambled.

Today I have buyed component cable from Game Stop. Bought one for xbox, PS and Wii, with both component and a yellow for AV.

The picture is half and half, it change colors between purpul and green. I'm using 480i 60Hz. I can't choose the 480p, it's not acitvated as an option.

I have also bougt a Startech Comp2vga to try to connect it to my TVs with a vga connection. It don't work, although Startech says it should. It only get B/W as well.

So, what can I do? Buy another converter? Chipp my wii, don't want to do that as I think it will take more time for me setting it up and supporting it, this is for my kids to play with.

I don't want to buy a US one, as my games are from PAL-country.

Need help here.

I made it work

Well, the Game Stop cable did work. The thing was that on a little box on the cable there was a switch, ordinary tv or HD tv, that I didn't see. Setting it to HD tv, and change the wii to 480i it worked like a charm on the plasma I have.

Super fun, now we can play the wii using all our old europeen games. Need to get Homebrew channel on it now so we can do some new games here.
