Picture is in black and white!!

Hi all

Does any1 know what mite be causing this on my wii? it works on the big lcd but on the small the pic is black and white! would the fact that my wii is PAL and the tv NTSC have anything to do with it?

I think that may be the cause of the problem, although it should be the other way around. Maybe someone else can explain it better than me.
