Please help!!

OK I have a question I am REALLY hoping someone can help me with. I just bought a wii for the first time tonight. I got home and got everything set up but these vertical dashing lines are constantly blinking. We have a HD 1080p Mitsubishi 60' tv. We have everything set up correctly we just cant figure out where these blinking lines are coming from on the screen. We used to have a playstation 2 and it did the same thing? Please help someone!

ok i did a quick google and it's a problem nintendo has been aware of for years... try a backup tv, if the old tv has the same problem, you can bet something is up with the wii.
