Porting Linux to the Wii?

Wondering if anyone has heard or knows anything about any attemps to do so. That would certainly open up some possibilities.. there was a version for dreamcast that was pretty useless but the wii could definitely change all that.

I'm sure it will happen eventually. Everybody used to talk about doing it before the Wii was actually released but I havn't heard much about it since.
