where did Nintendo say the release date is encoded in this message, it looks like ign is the one saying this is a cryptic message because there is nothing on 10/02/2006 but there is for every other monday that is within the valid range of release, it does make sense to release the Wii on a week no ds games are released so it doesn't overshadow the release and all advertising for the week can goto the Wii.

The only thing that caught my eye about the press release was the rather out of place reference to James Bond.
Casino Royale ( the next 007 movie ) is out 17 November but premieres on Sunday 12 November.
"final fantasy is to games what james bond is to movies" as a sentance is suspicious, of all the comparisons they could come up with why james bond ?
