Ubisoft has today released a Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands developer video diary for the forthcoming Nintendo Wii game, featuring interviews with technical director Marc Parenteau and game designer Yanick Piché, from the Ubisoft Quebec team. The developers say that their mantra is: “Be true to the Prince of Persia Sands of Time universe”, and I have to say, after looking at the trailer, they really do seem to have achieved that primary aim.

The Wii game will have a completely different storyline and new characters, plus exclusive environments and exclusive mechanics. All the sand powers used by the Prince in the game, such as Sand Rain, Sand Pillar and Sand Spear, are exclusive to the Wii version and have been designed specifically with the Wii Remote in mind. All this is very apparent from viewing the developer video diary, which shows that they’ve managed to pull some amazing graphics out of the Wii!

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands will be released for the Wii on May 14th 2010.

Being that the Wii version is different form the 360 version, anyone know when the 360 version releases?
