Problem with Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2

Hey, does anyone know why you can't use Goku in any gamemode but adventure after unlocking super saiyan 2? I've heard of this problem a few times, so I know it's not just me, but so far, I haven't heard how to fix it. So, if anyone knows a solution it would be very helpful.

it didn't happen to me . I can use super sayain 4 in tournaments and duelling and all that stuf.

Ok, but do you remember if you were always able to use him? Because I'm only halfway through the Trunks Saga and I only have the option of selecting between normal Goku and super saiyan 1. So I was thinking that maybe I have to advance some more in adventure mode to solve this problem. So, do you remember if you could use Goku when you had just unlocked super saiyan 1?

you can, its just some bug thing. How about instead of pointing at the screen with the wiimote (I assume your using it) that you use the d-pad on the wiimote instead. Then just scroll over and choose Goku and blah blah blah. I think that works, though i'm not positive.
