    hello
I'm getting a PS3 pretty soon and i want to connect it to the net on the day i get it. But i want to make sure i have everything i need. I hear to connect to the net either use a ethernet cable (there is no way that will reach from my modem to my PS3. one downstairs, one up) or a wireless internet router (i have a wired broudband connection and am NOT get a router). With my Wii i connect through Nintendo Wi-fi USB connecter. This was made for the DS but worked on the wii. Is there a USB thing i can plug in my computer and connect that way?
    please help

you can look for a usb wi - fi thing but i doubt you will find one. You can do wat i did by buying a 50 foot ethernet cable so it can reach from my computer upstaris down to my playstation

If you have the 60gb version it should have wi-fi already built into the ps3 just like the PSP. Just have it look for any wireless signals and then you can connect to them.

theres also cheap wireless hubs in which you can plug your wired connection to and thus send out a wireless signal to use.
