Question for you wii pros!

Hey Guys,

I am setting a gaming event in which the Nintendo wii console will be hidden behind the wall that the TV is on. I need to find out how to make this work. Do i need to have the sensor bar visible to the wii controller for it to recieve the signal? Can I leave the sensor bar behind the wall as well?

Any more info on the event?
Or is it a small time affair?
(might be able to drum up some interest if its more than a Wii more like say older consoles as well)
