Reliving The Legend of Zelda

Dark link was the best boss in the game in my opinion. Sometimes he just seemed impossible to beat.

My favourite zelda game would be a toss up between link to the past and ocerina of time. Majora's mask wasn't that bad i think. People just compared it to ocerina of time (which is in a class of its own). It was just a little annoying having to go around the same places over and over. If only you could wear the fierce daiety mask outside of a boss room...
Ocerina of time brings back fond memories... remember the paradox of the song of storms and how it created itself? And how at the end of the game with the biggorans sword and all the heart containers and double defence, you became this unstopable tank, form a kid with 3 hearts and the kokiri sword. I love zelda.

i relived one of the bad moments last night....that place where you get stuck for about 30 minutes.....

i was playing four swords adventures, which if you played that solo you've shared my pain of only being able to hold one accessory at a time (there is no inventory), i was in this house and had to first jump across a gap in the floor and then the way was barred by five huge barrels stacked on each other

i tried everything from throwing bombs across the gap, to the fire rod and finally it turned out i was just supposed to push them out of the way....

when i realized that i wanted to kick myself

This is long so forgive me

There are some great moments in Zelda history. I actually found one of the burning trees by accident in Legend of Zelda, and talked about it for days afterwards. That led me to burn every single bush in sight, finding more and more secrets. What made it bad was I was still using the blue candle so every time I had to leave the screen and come back. Also from Legend of Zelda I loved going to the graveyard hiting the main ghost 4 times then running around hitting every gravestone all while keeping an eye on the main one. When you finally hit the main ghost the 5th time all the other ones die leaving rupees, clocks, bombs and other fun items. Also Entering your name as Zelda causing it to load the second world made for the first game with a lot of replayability. <Edit>This is the same world that is there after you beat the game the first time<Edit>

Other notables Zelda64's dark link fight was awesome, as was fighting the three witches. Also finding the first great fairy and hearing that scream was cool, then seeing a half dressed chick fly up. I remember climbing the stairs to Ganon's tower and spending 3 days trying to fight him before I went to a book store and read up on how to kill him.

A Link to the past had so many great moments from Ganon's loong fight to hitting the zora's warp things the first time. Also it was amazing when you first went to the dark world area and the ugly great fairy from there.

Zelda II actually had a shadow link fight as well and with it's side scrolling was even harder than Zelda64's. I remember in that game fighting the red and blue knight guys, they were a *****. Also the guy in one town that simply said I am error.

Zelda is such a great series, I regret that I never finished Wind Waker, the only thing that I don't like about zelda especially the new ones is the escort type things. In Ocarina I hated Jabbus place because you have the little Zora kid the whole time and I stopped playing Wind Waker at one dungeon because I hated the little deku scrub kid.

Wind Waker's graphics amazed the **** out of me when I first saw them, I thought it was amazing and some of the little touches were awesome (all the fire effects). Wind Waker also has probably the greatest Zelda moment ever: When you go underwater to Hyrule Castle and everyone is frozen, then after you go down talk the King, and look at all the Sages in the Windows you come back up and everyone is alive. That whole area blew me away.

Burning Trees? Its been so long since I played that game. Sounds like you really explored every area to the max. This makes me want to play the game just to relive the classic. They do have it remade on Gamecube disc right?

I thought it was remade on the GBA and Ocerina of time was remade on the gamecube, along with master quest.

I wish i had the chance to finish master quest but the only opertunity that i had to play it was at my friends house. I got up to the fire temple and it had already gotten intense.

It was released on a bonus Disk for Gamecube. I got it when I preordered Wind-Waker from ebgames.com. It had Zelda I, Zelda II, Ocarina, Master Quest, Majoras Mask and a Wind Waker Demo. It was nice.

I played the **** out of Zelda, it took me like a month to beat it (I can beat it in about 5 hours now), Besides Exictebike, Mario Bros, Tiger-Heli, and Mike Tysons P.O. It was all I had. I got it I think the christmas after I got my Nintendo so maybe Christmas '87. The whole entire christmas holiday till around January 10th me and my cousin hardly left the house. It had snowed very heavily then and we were forced to go outside and play. At 9 and 7 guess what we played? Yep Link was suddenly in the Ice World.

Sorry for the length yet again I was getting nostaligic.

my fav zelda games are definitely ocarina of time and link to the past. they had the most dungeons, the best story, and were just the coolest games imo =) i love the graphics on wind waker, i just nvr got to play it much.

can't wait for twilight princess... really hope it surpasses the rest.

I like the original. I think I only ever played the Zelda games for NES. But I might have played one for N64 a LITTLE but I know it wouldn't have been much.

although i only own majoras mask and ocrania of time, ocrania of time is far far better, majoras mask is a bit boring and there are too many things to do at one time and not enough direction, that you get very confused. im on the last 1/4 of it now, i might go bak and see what can b done to finish it..

I must admit I didn't like having to do the same things over and over whenever I went back in time (giving the Bombers the code, planting beans, etc.), but for some reason I enjoyed Majora's Mask almost as much as Ocarina of Time.

Other notables Zelda64's dark link fight was awesome, as was fighting the three witches.

They were both fun battles, but I only remember two witches.

I would have to agree. Majora's Mask I thought was a good game. I did enjoy using the different types of masks.

oh definately the legend of zelda: ocarina of time. that game brings me so many memories. i remember tryin to get through ganons tower. so many things you had to do. but now i play that game whenever i get a chance. im never throwin away my N64. never!!!

but majoras mask is like tied up wit ocarina of time. majora had all these masks that you needed to collect, and that made, for me, the game more interesting. ofcourse now i have all of the masks, but back then, i swear i would get so fustrated cause of not knowin how to get all the masks. it took me from 2000-2005 jus to get all the masks. no bullsh** . it took me 5 years to complete majoras mask.

as for ocarina of time, it took me from 1999-2006 jus to complete it. cause i wanted to get all of the golden skulls thats why. i cant leave a game umcompleted especially a zelda game. reason it took me so long is cause i didnt have a home computer and the stupid schools blocked all game websites. but now its all completed and.....i started all over on both of them. but im sure it wont take me years and years to complete them. lol.

but yea, the zelda series is the best games out there. no matter how much the wii costs, ill buy it jus to be able to play the zelda. even though its out for gamecube and i have one, ill still buy it for both systems.

Now that The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess is out, does anyone consider TP to be the best Zelda game ever?
