Rock Band: Six New Alternative Rock Tracks Announced Including Songs From Skillet And

Last week we had one of the classic rock legends, Jimi Hendrix, announced as an exclusive for Rock Band, this week we have six new singles added as downloadable content from the following “alternative” rock acts:

  [*]Skillet – “Monster”
  [*]Superchick – “Stand in the Rain”
  [*]Switchfoot – “Meant to Live”
  [*]Thousand Foot Krutch – “Fire It Up”​

According to Harmonix and MTV Games, the new additions are the direct result of fans’ requests for more alternative rock music to be available for download. Everyone will have their favourites from the list of course, but Grammy Award-nominated hard rockers Skillet are worthy of a special mention with their awesome Monster track.

All songs are the original master recordings, and will be available to download for the Wii as individual tracks, costing 200 Wii Points per track, from Tuesday April 6th 2010.
