Rumor: Rechargable Wii Remote?

Nintendo at work on new Wiimote: Rumor

Video Games – "Japanese publication Game Lab is running an interesting rumor. According to them, Nintendo is already working on a new version of the Wiimote. Don't worry, it isn't anything that will render your current Wiimote obsolete. This version will have a better grip, and will come with a rechargeable battery."

This sounds like a really good idea to me. We'll see where this goes.

Reading this, I also thought of when there are going to be releases of third party periphials. What do you guys think?

they have already released a rechargeable battery pack which can be imported from honk kong. wont be long before more add-ons follow.

Does this import work for US remotes? I already dropped a lot of dough on rechargeable batteries, but they will die eventually.

not sure but there are guys selling them on ebay for around $10-15, your money. i personally am thiking about buying it but a bit later.

Yeah, with as much use as my Wii gets they'll only last me a couple months.
