Running wii through airport scanner?

Does it do any harm to the wii? i'm going on a flight tomorrow and want to take it with me.

do you think i'll have any trouble including it with my carry on luggage in the suitcase? they have no way of verifying that it does what it does without a tv (unlike a laptop they can just fire up and see it works)

they are strick electronic cary on laws now you can't even have cameras now just put it in a heavily paded bag and put it with your luggage

i would put it in your clothes bag with the luggage, if you want to be held up for hours, go ahead and take it with carry on

I'm pretty sure security knows what a Nintendo Wii is, especially from holiday travels and such.

I took it on my carry on last week and it went through fine, no questions asked.

Airport security isn't completely stupid, you'll get through no problem (I've done plenty of traveling myself, I know what I'm saying).

I don't think it's a problem. I always carry my psp, mp3 and mobilephone on the plane.

yep. what i'm trying to wonder is... when they ask you to claim your items (on a sheet of paper, when traveling out of country... do you get taxed or anything with electronics)?
