Saving to SD cards

ok....we have recently started saving (back ups) to the SD card. Is it right that you have to delelte the previously saved game on the Sd before you can make a new save of the same game...thinking about progress on T for instance. Surely like you used to with the Gamecube you should be able to overwrite but it seems not..is this true?

If you save a game it overwrites the previously saved game. I don't know what your on about tbh lol

i tried to save progress for the TP game last night from the wii memory to the SD card but ti would not let me overwrite.....can you elaborate please as it did not work. I had already saved the game the previous day
