Serial killers get 22 units of Wii for treatment

According to Wii.qj.net, the wii is now to for serial killers.

We've heard of consoles being used for education, but for psychiatric patients' treatment? That's new. The Sun UK reports that Broadmoor Hospital, a top-security facility housing serial killers, has just received 22 Wii units. That's UK£ 5,000 at the taxpayer's expense.
Not only that, the console is proving to be a pasttime favorite so much so that the managers are going the extra mile of ordering extra remotes, prices at UK£ 25 a piece, and some more Wii Fit games.

Now, do note that this is a facility whom serial killers call home. And one which already had Xbox and PlayStation units in its entertainment room.

An angry source rants: "When you think of their crimes and the misery they have cauased, you have to ask if it's right for society to pay to entertain them. This cash could have been spent improving care in the wider NHS. In the meantime all we hear is laughter as patients play with their new toys.

For their part, the facility's spokesperson said that they got the Wii units so that they can integrate it into the patients' treatment programs, with Wii Fit being particularly used for their exercise.
