should i upgrade to ds lite?

yes you should upgrade.
as i mentioned before the DS lite is smaller, lighter and sexier. not to mention brighter with four different brightness settings.

Mic

Cons:
Huge
Fragle
a little hard to hold
Not so bright screen
power button insted of switch
Mic in a wrong place


DS Lite:

Pros:
Lighter
Mic
Ajusting light brightness
Stronger
even cooler colors than Brick DS
buttons in better places
Mic in better place

Cons:
Stylus too big
to some people the start and select buttons are in the wrong place
buttons may be cramped up


So should you upgrade? You decide. this is just my opinion

I never owned the old DS and now have 2 DS lite (White and Pink, Me and My Wife, hehehe) But I have played the phat one and I like mine better. The screen in itself is such way better and WAY brighter. But you have a DS already so why spend money on that? its not broken is it?

I would trade in the old one but looked really hard looking for one for my birthday so i would feel bad if i traded it in.

Since you have DS, I would suggest just sticking with it. The DSLite is better than the DS, but's it not like GBASP was to GBA.
