simple My Sims question

reasonably new to sims...when you need to make items that require more essences/paint colours than the number of sections of furniture requirments...do you ned to make the furniture in a different format (i.e more pices) or do you add over the top on those sections already 'essenced' :crazy:

Just add some more pieces and paint those

Yeah, I just put small pieces of wood ontop of the other pieces and paint them. I <3 this game
