Sonic and the Secret Rings Help

Well I had finished the game on file 1 100% exept for the lvl 25 completion special book bonus and on file 2, I got it. I now need to delete all but file 1 for friends. My question is, can i delete file 2 and keep the bonus? I've read that all files go towards the book, but nothing specific. Thanks for helping in advance!

I don't think many people have this game. That's probably why people aren't answering.

i think once you have something unlocked or w.e, even if the file that you acheived it in gets deleted, it should remain unlocked. however im just guessing.
