Newly reformed godfathers of Seattle grunge, Soundgarden, have announced today that their first new album for 10 years, Telephantasm, will be available as downloadable content to purchasers of Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. Would-be rockers will also get the chance to kick out the jams to “Black Rain”, Soundgarden’s brand new single, as part of the 90+ on-disc song selection. Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock will be released on all the major consoles including the Nintendo Wii this September.
