"We know a lot of people have wanted to know and now we are happy to announce that the awesome drums from Guitar Hero World Tour will finally be available to purchase separately from the bundle!

Starting on 2/15/09, Best Buy and Gamestop retail locations will be selling the Guitar Hero World Tour Standalone Drums for $99.99 (USD).

So look for them soon at a retailer near you!

NOTE: The 2/15 street date for the standalone drums is for US/Mexico/Canada only. The standalone drums will be released in Europe and Australia at a later date. More details will be announced soon on exact street dates. "

haha, i posted, then hit back to go back to the index, but had to go do something. when i got back to the computer the "back" took me back to the new thread page with my post all typed out and i thought "oh, i didnt post it" so hit post again. i thought wiichat had a thing that stopped similar threads being made anyway.

No word on the separate guitar controllers, though. :(

I saw that someone on Amazon had separate components, but I suppose they were buying the full kit and breaking it up. They wanted $150 US so I suppose this is going to put a crimp on their pricing.

There already are guitars out there. Even official ones.

That is standalone, but you could buy guitar hero 3 while your at it.

Or you could even buy Guitar Hero Aerosmith [ame]http://www.amazon.com/Guitar-Hero-Aerosmith-Bundle-Nintendo-Wii/dp/B0017K85HM/ref=pd_bbs_5?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1233234994&sr=8-5[/ame]

Quite right. But I should have been more clear and stated that I want another GH:WT controller. In fact, I have the Les Paul model on loan from our son and it works fine, but of course does not have the neck slider.

There are some [ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B001NGJ2FE/ref=dp_olp_0?ie=UTF8&qid=1233240028&sr=1-1&condition=all"]GH:WT controllers on Amazon[/ame] too, but they're still a bit pricey at over $66. And being the cheap$kate I am, I'm hoping that the official release of the guitar controller only will come at a more reasonable price. ;)

but who really uses the neck slider anyway, its easier just play the notes normally.

however, the ghwt guitar is larger than the other ones and there fore more comfortable to play.

I try when I can! Yes, easier to just play the notes, but I'm doing this to challenge myself. ;)

You can also play those notes just by pressing the buttons w/out strumming.

yes, which i just found out last night.

Thanks for the update!

And yea.. they're called hammer-ons.

^ You both are wrong. Hammer ons are when you go from high on the neck to lower on the neck, pull offs are lower to higher. What hank was referring to (when the notes are lit up and you can use the neck slider for them) is called tapping (on the real guitar at least)

Kool!!!!!! i just have 1 questions
What about the mic??????
