Hi,

I've got a Wii for my son and his uncle wants to bring him over from the USA a game for Xmas and I suggested 'Star Wars Lego' for the Wii.

Apparently he's been told by several US stores that the game will not work in the UK on European Wii.

Is this actually the case?

I'd appreciate your help.

Thanks

The Wii is region locked. It won't work. Sorry. He could probably just buy it quickly in the UK before he come to your house. Good luck. And Welcome to Wii Chat.

Thanks for the info, that clears that one up!

One thing I would recommend, is that due to the dollar/uk exchange rate, you could ask his uncle to buy your son an extra wiimote + nunchuk - they're about half the price that they are in the UK.

Of course that only makes sense if you're paying for it... if his uncle buys him it then you don't get the pound/dollar bonus.

why the f*ck wont it work? games are games...is it a language thing?

What planet have you been living on? Have you never heard of region discs? On say CD's, DVD's, Blue Ray's, Software, and Video games? Only been around since the beginning of these technologies.
