The Red Sox just can't get it done with runners on. I'm all out for them, but I honesty don't think they'll come back.

According to an article from si torre has a 50-50 chance of coming back. The guy gets treated like crap, i don't think it's his fault at all. Why would torre come back, Steinbrenner isn't holding the cards Torrre is. Will firing this legendary manager do your team any good? Nope i see a chicago bulls 00-03 rebuilding project if he leaves, when jackson left the players left as well, the same will happen for the Yankees.

Torre rejects Steinbrenner's offer, one of the best managers in baseball history is no longer on the Yankees payroll. The Yankees offered him a 1 yr extension worth 5 million, a 2 million pay cut with a 1 yr option and he said no thank you, like I think he should have. Now a whole new set of issues arise with the Yankees; new manager? A-rod staying/going? Rivera staying? Posada staying? Pettite retiring? (All info heard on ESPN's OTL)

i think the yanks are gonna be in trouble unless they spend a lot of money in the off season. I see them getting Andrew Jones.

Haha, maybe the Mets will pick Torre up. But no, I think Willie Randolph is doing a fine job.

very upsetting, very upsetting. Shame on the Yankees Organization for treating Torre the way they did...
