WiiChat needs a pure GNU/Linux thread for people to share their experiences with GNU/Linux.

My GNU/Linux distro of choice is:

UBUNTU/KUBUNTU
Current Version: 7.10

Okay, let's start the chatting!

I deleted Windows XP PRO SP2 for (K)UBUNTU, and I don't regret it one bit.

YAY that's what i'm getting!!!

I don't like what TransGaming's Cedega is doing to Wine though, not even sharing the source code, and I'm not paying a monthly fee to play games I've already purchased.
Maybe a one-time fee, but not this...

i've not tried wine since the lindows thing... i thought it was opensource
i may try when i install this distro :yesnod:

what games and mo fees are you talking about? :)

Been Linux only for just over a year now, and so far I am loving it!

I lol at all the Mac and Windows owners who can't even sync their iPod Touch's wirelessly

i used Damn Small Linux on an very old laptop before i got this Vista laptop... all i used it for was surfing while my family's desktop was in use.

i need to backup my docs before i upgrade to UBUNTU

Wine/Cedega/CrossOver Office = Runs Windows programs.

Cedega (A.K.A. WineX) does not contribute back to it's base, Wine.

Cedega has mo. fees starting at $5.

this distro will have comprehensive power saving support on my pentium dual-core battery? :)

i have a dual core, 1.47GHz 2GB ram... what horsepower do you two have?

*still backing up years of files*
