Thinking of buying a 360? ::FAQ::

i hate ratings there is no need for it. a rated M makes a kid want it more and more which is the opposite of rating it M because its not for him. this makes him want to get it and eventually use language and actions from that M game because he knows its wrong and mature so he thinks its cool. i ignore ratings like M or R i just get what i like and i say to my parents that im not going to go out and kill people with a chainsaw bayonet and they say okay why because they trust me and are not dumb and think oh its M this will make my child want to kill people.

yes, to bad we live in a capitalist world.

socialism ftw!

Wow, that was very well written, Sovieto! Such organized information. I would never have had the patience.
I'm sure you've helped out a lot of people decide which 360 they wanna get. ^^
+Rep.

I think it should also be mentioned that the Elite also has DVR capability.

I am planning on buying an Elite this weekend, and I would like to have some inputs on the games accessories I plan to buy. I am getting an extra controller, an intercooler, Lost Planet, and Forza 2. I am not interested in XBox live because my internet connection has alot of lag. I would get Halo 2, but my fiance has it. Anything else I need or should look into? Gears of War and DiRT are on my future purchase list.

Dont get Lost Planet. Get Dead Rising instead. LP is really, really boring. The story sucks too.

I would like to get DR also, but I was thinking LP > GoW > DR. Should I opt for GoW before DR?

Depends. Ask yourself these questions:

Do i like to kill hoards of enemies?

Am i more of a duck and fight or all out?

Do i want online play?

I would prefer DR but thats cause im not much for hiding or online. GoW is a lot of duck and shoot where DR is a lot of killing.

can i play my mates on live if i only get a core system, and can i just use my own ethernet cable, buy a component cable, and use my pc for the hard drive, it seems to me your only really paying the extra £80 or w/e for the hard drive, and if i can use my pc as 1 why bother. would that work?

As long as you have an xbox live hooked up you should be fine.

I doubt that would work, sorry.

ill just get premium or elite at a later date with the deals and such it will work out around the same anyway :)

If you're planning on saving a lot of content I would go for the Elite..

However you could always buy the core system and buy the elite hard drive..

That way you would end up saving some money and would be able to download the same amount of content.

ive had an xbox 360 premium since january of 06 and ive loved every minute of it. honestly, the graphics are amazing, playin with your friends online is more fun than u could ever imagine, and the downloadable content both free and that which u have to pay for is simply the best from any service. i just bought a wii yesterday, obviously the graphics are incomparable, and ive loved every minute of it as well. so for all of u guys considering buying a 360, do it for sure. dnt no if that would persuade any of u guys but its worth a shot. like i said ive had it for over a year and a half so if u have any questions about it let me no.

is it worth buying a premium xbox360 and or is it better to get the core one???
The premium is a much better deal. Some stores don't carry that many or any cores at all anymore.
Just go with the premium, don't even think about getting the core unless you're extremely tight on cash.

Planning on buying one as soon I as I start working.
If I am not working then its birthday/christmas material.
