Those USB Ports - Uses?

I think they would have been better off putting an Ethernet/LAN plug in it instead of stupid USB ports!

maybe they will be more useful when if they come out with a wii headset for online gaming :D
that might be kinda anoying unless its like a bt in which the reciver is pluged in to the usb

I have a Nintendo Wii "Ultimate Bundle" supplied console base with blue LED's, cooling fan, remote controllers storage and an on-off switch connected to Wii console. Though I have to turn off the fan when playing a game as it interferes with the TV reception.

I imagine that I will plug in my charger(s) thru a USB multi-port hub to the Wii console since there are only 2-USB connectors on the Wii console.

USB has much more potential. Thousand times more potential.

Wow... thinking outside the square, that's good.

I have a plasma ball, held by a claw... USB powered one, that'd be cool...

I guess as noted - anything using the USB would likely then be tethered to the Wii, which kinda defeats the whole wiimote idea...

I think your post caused me to lose brain cells.

Sorry, it happens. I'll try harder next time to make an intelligent post to possibly replenish the cells that my previous post depleted.

Using high powered USB devices off your wii console isnt always a good thing, You can drain more power from the console thus making it produce more heat, Which isn't a good thing for the wii's internals. Im not talking about charging your Wii motes or anything like that, But people that run high powered devices such as the fridge, High powered lights etc. It draws more current from the wii which puts added stress to its internal load capacity.

Does anyone know if they work with the Wii? I don't have a multi-port hub handy and don't want to pay for one if it wont work! I currently have a Microphone and two wiimote chargers, soon to be 3/4. I don't want to keep swapping them all the time.

Im fairly sure a USB Hub should work on the wii, I dont see why it wouldnt

Madcatz or Gameshark Wireless Thumbpad. Small usb wireless thumbpad made as an attachment for PS2, but works great as a standalone and doesn't look like a keyboard that was meant as a PS2 controller addon.
