As a physicist I can tell you school should take exactly as long as it did before. However, during the spring it does feel like the days seem to fly by quicker (At least to me anyway).

you get out at 2pm? what the hell how long is your school day?

for all of my secondary school years i started school at 9 and finished at 4 and had a total of 6 hours of teaching in those 7 hours... but then again i'm in the UK and my holidays where longer than average.

Yes but keep in mind you start an hour earlier as well.
Literally speaking the time change does not change how long anything is.
How the day feels to you however is a different story.

I feel just a bit off usually during any time change. It messes up timing, and my schedules.
