Trouble adding PPLs online codes

Hello gang
I have added several ppl to my address book but cannot send them a message their info is there and says "You have registered yada yada" anyway when i go to the mii channel and click the send message it says I havent registered any friends... what am I doing wrong?


BTW I had to reformat to clear some stuff. It gave me a new Online Code

The other people must also add you to their system before you can exchange messages and Mii's.
