Update Mario Kart 64? Confused

Hi...someone posted there was an update mario kart 64 to stop freezing at the main mario screen through the shop channel. I cannot find this update? is it here in usa/canada too? can someone post intructions to where it is. thanks

Go to download Mario Kart 64 as if you were downloading it for the first time andit will say New Mario Kart 64 Update.

I can't find it either. Maybe it's not in USA/Canada yet. I went to the virtual console and it just says downloaded for Mario Kart 64. Anyone from USA see it?

I heard the Update was a PAL exclusive.
