URGENT bomberman/mario cart controller problems

:mad2: Please somebody help! Does anyone know how to use gamecube controllers with bomberman or mario cart? Have read instructions but doesn't make sense:mad2:

Are you having problems getting the controllers to work at all or is it that you don't get the controls?

Getting the controllers to work is my problem. am i being stupid as it just does not work - controller's are however in working order but not being picked up by WII

Are they third-party controllers? Some people have issues with those.

Make sure you have them in the right player ports too.

I have 3 GC controllers and 1 wii remote. I have even plugged all in and tryed that too. any more advice anyone????
