usb controller cable not included

i bought myself a ps3 today and i bought alongside a contoller , but when i opened the package of the extra controller i found out that there was no usb cable included that links the controller with the ps3....
is this normal...?

i already found a solution for it; i have a sony digital camera and the cable that is used is also a usb cable and this can be used for connecting the controller to the console...

does anybody have other similar tips on how using sony accessories....

p.s ; i have a sony ericsson phone , also with usb cable but this one the ps3 won't accept....

I thought the controllers were wireless? and the cable was to charge them up?

yea but if you want to play with 2 players it's easyer with two charging cable's cos this takes quite a while....

I bought an extra usb cable from monoprice.com It was like $3 shipped for a 6ft cable.
