Hello and thank you for contacting Nintendo,

Although the Wii Console has two USB ports, they can only be used by accessories Nintendo may decide to develop (for the Wii). The Wii LAN Adapter is one such accessory. It is scheduled to be released in early January 2007 and is used to connect to a wired router to setup a Wii Internet Connection.

If you need additional information about the Wii, please refer to www.nintendo.com and www.wii.com. You won't regret it!

And, while you are at our site, be sure to check out the My Nintendo section. Not only does this allow you to monitor the progress of any repairs or part orders that you may have, it also gives you access to the Nintendo Forums where you can interact with other players. Here you can discuss games and systems, and possibly obtain key game play information. Take a look. I think that you will find it helpful.

i guess, guess not everything can be believed... until i see it, but then, gotta make sure it's legit ><

Just because some people can not get it to work, doesn't mean it doesn't work. There are several people here who have it working, so I would suggest contacting them if you are getting stuck.

There is a really good post by Vagrant (I think), on how to hook it all up - I would suggest having a look for that .

I do not believe for one second that ANYONE has an HDD working with the Wii. *Maybe* perhaps a USB flash key if the key`s internal controller is the same that the Wii SD card reader uses.

Also, contrary to what others have posted, memory is not "added" to the Wii`s system blocks. It simply allows for the SD tab to become available for backup purposes.

for The Idiots That Still Think This Will Work. . .it Won't; Just Because It's Usb Does Not Negate The Fact That It Still Needs Drivers To Work. Unlike A Windows Environment That Has Tons Of Drivers, The Wii Only Has A Very Limited Set Of Drivers Placed On The Machine By Nintendo To Support Nintendo Hardware. Nintendo Can Choose To Do A System Update With Some New Drivers At Some Later Point, But Until They Do You Cannot Use A Usb Hard Drive Or Jump Drive.

You know, I'm gonna have to say something I haven't said in a long looong while ;)

Screenshot or it didn't happen...I'll accept a camera pic...
