i don't think so but i'm pretty sure you can turn off messaging also metroid for ds has great multiplayer and you can do it with random people so i'm sure that there will be no problem with the multiplayer on wii nintendo knows what they are doing i just wish they would come out with a blue tooth head set or something

How do you get pictures onto the Wii? Via SD card? And also I thought with online play there would be a lobby full of people wanting to challenge. So with online play you have to add the person for you to play?

You add people if you wanna play with friends its basically like the DS. Otherwise youll just play random people. And yes you add pictures using the Sd card.
