What does this mean, and what's the fix?

I was on Wii, and the remote would not respond to the console. I looked at the remote, and all 4 little blue lights were blinking. What do I do ut:

I had the same, synching didn't work, I just reset the wii and it all worked fine again without synching

Maybe the batteries are low? If not, I have no idea.

Unplug the console power cord then plug it in again and everything should be alright. Same thing happend to me and I did that then everything was okay.
