What would be a perfect Wii game for you? What kind of game would provide you with the most satisfying experience on the Wii? What would gameplay be like?

Give examples of existing games for comparison, if you like.
Describe the game universe and storyplot, if any.

1000 games on a disc. Actually I like puzlle or brain games. But this new mario games is really fun. Hard but fun.

to me a good game would have the following:

Good Graphics: i don't mean realistic or high definition but rather good graphics for the game. Mario Galaxy has excellent graphics that are neither HD or realistic. another example is Okami which looks like a waterpainting come to life. good graphics are a must.

Excellent Controls: controls usually make or break a game for me. for instance i don't care how good people say they are FPS on the Wii just feel wierd cause i prefer the control sticks. MP3 was the only one to get it right and even then i prefer the sticks. on the other hand Zelda Twilight Princess had the perfect controls. simple yet immersive enough i felt like i was really swinging the sword to a point. good controls are a must.

Story: a good long story is helpful. it doesn't have to be terribly long like say FF long, but around the length of something like Ocarina of Time would do. a lot of games today(especially on the Wii) are either too long or too short. and the story has to make sense while keeping me interested. a plot twist or a really epic scene, a nice story goes a long way.

Music & Sound: usually overlooked by gamers but its one of the most important things. when playing Mario, you don't really notice the sound of him jumping or grabbing a coin. now turn off sound effects and it just sounds like the game got a little boring cause half the effects are gone. and the background music has to be great as well. i'll keep going back to OoT's Lost Woods till the end of time just to hear it's music. at the same time i'll play Brawl and turn on certain songs and turn others off cause i want to hear them more. for some sad scene, i want music that's deppresing and tearful. if its supposed to be a perfect day level, i want music that'll make me smile. without a doubt the sound effects and music help gamers get more into the game whether they realise it or not.

now as for what the game should be like, i was thinking something like Zelda Twilight Princess. a free roaming adveture game with mild puzzle elements. add in some decent multi-player(co-op or competitive) and maybe some platforming or racing elements as well as all the above features(graphics, story, controls, sound & music) and i think you'd have a perfect game.

Atmosphere. I want a certain atmosphere that's inviting and thought-provoking. The story could be as simple as rescue the girl, but if you were to pour an artistic theme into this and add background. A solitary epic or a whole lotta well rounded characters on a good romp.

I also want good Characterization. I'm a character person. The story can be elaborate or flat, but it's characterization that gives it any depth. It doesn't mean they have to be gabby at all. Their presence or design could blend with the atmosphere.

Think something like Zelda or, an even better example, ICO. I was empathetic towards the characters and the story was rather simple. This generally suits more serious solitary epics.
You could also go the Tales route and have rather talkative characters at the player's discretion. Have these characters have likes or dislikes and frequent interactions. This generally will be more comedic or even clever like GTA 4.
I'm generally drawn to animesque archetypes, but give me anything interesting and I'll bite.

The story can be anything simple to very complex. If they've provided the above then this won't be as much of an issue. Generally a theme would be nice though. I prefer thought-provoking stories. Either some biting social commentary or make it an epic adventure.

I'm into Sci-Fi and Fantasy style games. Modern-style games are rarely pulled off without resorting to crass frat-boy appeal. Despite this I've liked the GTA games(like the South Park of games kinda). 4 was my favorite(it was more epic and conventional).

I love lush green wilderness... I love any kind of Scenery Porn really. Partly why I was repulsed by Fallout 3 at times. So... brown. Still, it does suit it's atmosphere. A great example of a game style I like.
It needs to look nice. I love color! Granted, there are times when I like that dark monotonous mood, but not EVERYWHERE! Photo-realism... it depends on the game's style.

I'm up for a solitary gaming romp through some very lush forests.
I think my ideal game would be a souped up Shadow of the Colossus as of now.

Some of my favorites have been

ICO, Uncharted, Tales of Vesperia(Symphonia and Abyss as well), Shadow of the Colossus, Halo Campaign, Zelda, Spyro, Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Elder Scrolls, Star Ocean, Mass Effect, Valkyria Chronicles, Disgaea, GTA, Prince of Persia, Fire Emblem, etc.

Sensing any patterns here?

Heh, I would love for there to be a Lego LotR, similar to Lego Star Wars, or Lego Indiana Jones.

I really loved Shadow of the Colossus, with its giant scale opponents towering over you and making you feel small.

A few years before Shadow of the Colossus came out, there was a game published by Enix for PS2 called Robot Alchemic Drive, or Gigantic Drive.

RAD was really amazing, with giant-sized anime robots that were presented in a very unique way. I would dearly love for this game to be ported to the Wii:

I really think this game is uniquely awesome, and badly wish that a sequel would be made, as well as a port for Wii. I would love to be able to throw Wii-boxing-style punches controlling a 150-foot tall mech.

This is my idea of epic! :biggrin5:
