I recently purchased a HDTV and connect my Wii to it.
I saw that on the Settings you can change your tv mode from Standard to panoramic but dunno what each options mean.

Please post your answers.!!

standard = 4:3 = not widescreen
panoramic =16:9 = widescreen

yep, you also have to make sure you have the same settings on ur tv (its in widescreen mode instead of full screen)
also if you want to make the picture look a lot better, buy the component cables and set the resolution to 480p

Panoramic on the TV will smoosh the middle and stretch the edges. Look at a channel with a ticker like CNN for the example.

Use Wide setting on the Tv and widescreen 16:9 on the Wii menu
