Where is Toad?

I have looked at many sites and see no mention of Toad even being an assist character in brawl. Toad is my all time favorite video game character, and I would play as him non-stop if only he were added to the game! Anybody know why he isn't in the game?

PS sorry if he actually is in the game and I couldn't find him....

i'm with you, i would love toad as a playable character(see signature) but it just looks like he wasn't good enough to make the roster

Sorry to say but Toad is Peach's nuetral B attack.
Toad acts like a shield and if he's hit, he sends out spores to hurt opponents.

he should be an assist trophy atleast. toad is awesome. toad is my favorite character in every game that he is playable in. like mario kart and mario tennis.

Toad is typically a moderator in most games. I feel he has a lacking part in Smash Bros. It's more of a mockery. Toad as a shield.
