Wii.nintendolife reported new screenshots of the new wheres waldo game for wii

Thanks to an announcement from Ubisoft, we now know where to always find Waldo - right in North American retailers' shelves. The publisher has developed a game based on the elusive red-striped character bent on killing time via meticulous eye work. Since he's in a game now, you bet he'll have more ways to hide, and you'll have more ways to look for him.

The game, officially titled, Where's Waldo? The Fantastic Journey, is "the ultimate search-and-find adventure for the entire family," says the Ubisoft PR. Instead of staring at a single picture for a few minutes, you'll have strange lands and magical worlds to explore while looking for Waldo. Multiple difficulty settings and increasingly more animated maps adjust to players' skill levels, throw in a few powerups to spice it up up a bit.

Power-ups include:

  • Wacky Paint: Splatter colorful paint onto your opponent's screen to obscure the view.
  • Thunder Clap: Cast thunder onto your opponent and make the screen shake.
  • Frosty: Freeze the search window by encasing it in ice.
  • Sparkly: Keep your eyes on the twinkle and glitter effects to detect items.
  • And many more!
Where's Waldo? The Fantastic Journey is now available in the US for the Nintendo DS, Wii, PC, and Mac.

Some kids might enjoy this more.

Didn't they learn from the crappy NES game? Where's Waldo plus video game = FAIL. I guess I shouldn't be surprised though with all the shovelware there is.
