Why are they so protecting? Doesn't Nintendo get more money from players importing?

they are actually protecting against piracy. the chip that lets you play games from all regions also lets you download games and burn them on a disc and play it on the wii. also nintendo abviously has some sort of issue with buying from other regions, otherwise they wouldnt have put in the region lock.

just as an FYI someone is selling a japanese version on ebay for $250

If you want to but the japanese version and play it on an american system then you need the cyclowiz mod.
