why is no one in my mii parade?

I've activated wiiconnect24, the wii is attached to the internet... and still no one is parading on my Wii... any ideas?

You have to add friends before anybody will go to your parade. And what exactly the point of the parade?

oh really? I didn't know that. No wonder no one is in my parade. I dont think there is a point of parade, it's just cool.
