Wii controller problem

Hi guys, i'm in need of some advice! My wii controller has suddenly decided not to work! The pointing option works perfectly, but i can't perform any movements such as twisting or moving the controller left to right. For example, when bowling in wii sports, the player just runs up and i can't raise the arm to bowl. Please help!! Thanks, Pete.

This happened to me before, try and swing the wiimote downward hard, just don't throw it lol. Mine got jammed and I had to swing the wiimote downward, it popped back into place and worked. Hope that works!
